NEW toater design

Designer George Watson brings up an interesting point when he reminds us that as the years went by all major appliances have improved by incorporating new technologies. All, that is, but the toaster. The toaster has remained relatively untouched.
Not anymore, the good old days when toasting was a social event with the toaster right on the table are back. Two thin alumina hot plates leaning against springs stand poised and ready for any slice of bread that may be brought to them by a set of three speed adjustable drive cogs.
Oh, and don’t worry about kitchen dirt and water. Santoprene o-rings are in place to protect the electronics from the harsh conditions of your everyday kitchen.
George’s toaster “Glide” was the first place winner of the Shortlist Design Competition “Ceramics for Breakfast”
